COVENTRY City will show support for the LGBTQ+ community at the club’s home game against Stoke City this weekend.

The Sky Blues host the Potters on Saturday, February 28 with kick-off at 3pm at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

February is Football v Homophobia’s month of action. And the EFL and Puma have teamed up to produce a rainbow match ball which all 72 EFL clubs will use.

Coventry will also feature the club’s LGBTQ+ supporters group – Proud Sky Blues – extensively in the PUSB matchday programme.

The Proud Sky Blues logo will also be shown on the big screen at the CBS Arena throughout the day.

Coaching and non-playing staff will also wear badges to display their support, plus the club’s mascot Sky Blue Sam.

The players will again walk out for the game next to rainbow balloon towers.

Support will also be shown on the scoreboard, through tannoy announcements, on the website and the club’s social media channels.

Coventry also have special rainbow corner flags for the match.

Any fans who are victims of or witness any abuse or discrimination can use the club’s dedicated text reporting number: 07537 453 117.
