COVENTRY City will wear a special fourth kit against Ipswich Town in the FA Cup this weekend to raise money and awareness for two charities.

City are raising money for Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice and Sky Blues in the Community by wearing a limited edition fourth strip against the Tractor Boys.

The Sky Blues host Premier League strugglers Ipswich in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday, February 8 with kick-off at 3pm at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The special shirt will be available from 9.30am on Saturday morning from ccfcstore.com and the superstore at the CBS Arena.

And the shirt will also be available at the club store in West Orchards Shopping Centre from 10am.

Coventry have produced a limited amount of the fourth kit as a one-off. Once sold out the club will not make any more.

The club will donate a portion of the profits to both Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice and Sky Blues in the Community.

Head of fundraising at Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice, Lisa Harrison–Byrne said: “We are delighted to receive the continued support from Coventry City Football Club and its supporters.

“To be nominated in this way is such an honour and helps us to continue supporting our children and their families – thank you.”

Dave Busst from Sky Blues in the Community added: “We are honoured to be receiving a donation from Coventry City, supporting the work that we do in the Coventry and Warwickshire community.

“Our work covers a range of areas, from sport to health, education, inclusion and much more, with participants from young children to elder members of our local area.

“We are proud to receive a donation from the sales of the fourth kit, especially alongside Zoe’s Place whose work we have also supported.

“We look forward to seeing the team wearing the kit on Saturday against Ipswich Town.”

Coventry City owner and executive chairman, Doug King said: “After last year’s epic FA Cup run, we are delighted to be revealing our eye-catching limited edition fourth kit later this week, to be worn solely on the occasion of our fourth round FA Cup tie versus Ipswich Town on Saturday.

“We hope it will inspire us to continue our journey forward in this competition that is so dear to our hearts”

“We obviously hope that fans will get behind this initiative both supporting our club and in the knowledge that two important and worthy causes will benefit too.”
