COVENTRY City winger Ephron Mason-Clark has won the Championship’s player of the month award for December.
Mason-Clark scored three goals and assisted three more in December as the winger cemented himself as a key figure in Frank Lampard’s side.
He beat Burnley’s Josh Brownhill, Queens Park Rangers’ Jimmy Dunne and Portsmouth’s Callum Lang to win the award.
Mason-Clark said: “It feels good. I’ve got to say thank you to my teammates and the staff for the award.
“We didn’t pick up the number of points that we wanted to, but it was a good month, not just for me, but for the team as well.”
He scored the only goal in City’s win at Millwall before striking again and setting up the winner as the Sky Blues came from behind to beat Hull City.
The 25-year-old also provided an assist in City’s defeat at Portsmouth.
And he finished the month with a goal and assist as Coventry thrashed Plymouth Argyle on Boxing Day.
A panel comprising Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman, EFL chief executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies selected Mason-Clark as the winner of the award.
