FOOTBALL - Coventry City youngster Kai Andrews earns first call-up to Wales senior squad for World Cup qualifiers

COVENTRY City youngster Kai Andrews has earned his first call-up to the Wales senior squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The 18-year-old has impressed on loan at Scottish Premiership side Motherwell since making the move to Fir Park on loan in January.

Andrews has made just a single appearance for Wales at under-19 level but joins up with Craig Bellamy’s 26-player squad for games against Kazakhstan and North Macedonia later this month.

The midfielder has made six appearances for Motherwell and helped the Well to an impressive win against Rangers at Ibrox at the start of the month.

And Coventry full-back Jay Dasilva has also earned a place in the squad with the 26-year-old looking to add to his two previous caps.

Dasilva has made 28 appearances for the Sky Blues this season.




Wales host Kazakhstan on March 22 before travelling to North Macedonia on March 25.

Belgium and Liechtenstein make up the rest of Wales’s World Cup qualifying group.
