KAI Andrews feels ‘over the moon’ after scoring his first professional goal in Hibernian’s shock 2-1 win away at Celtic.
The Coventry City youngster joined Hibs on loan in January after making 10 appearances for the Sky Blues in all competitions.
And the 19-year-old endeared himself to loan club Hibs by scoring the goal which earned the Scottish club a first away win at Celtic in 16 years.
The substitute scored the winner three minutes from time which marked the midfielder’s first professional goal.
Andrews struck after Felix Passlack put Hibs ahead only for Benjamin Nygren to draw the home side level.
Celtic had Auston Trusty sent off with 16 minutes left to play with Andrews introduced from the bench immediately after the defender’s dismissal.
And Andrews coolly placed a first time effort into the bottom right corner from the edge of the penalty area late on to earn Hibs the points.
Andrews said: “Individually to go and finish the game off how I did and score my first professional goal, I’m over the moon with it.
“I’m buzzing. There were so many emotions [when it hit the net] I couldn’t really control them.
“Throughout the team, for the whole game we were brilliant.
“[The red card] gave us confidence and gave us the opportunity to do what we did. It was a big turning point.
“We haven’t won here in 15 years, for me to contribute a goal, it’s an amazing feeling.”
