COVENTRY Sphinx trustees have successfully negotiated and signed the deed of transfer to become the freeholders of their Sphinx Drive home.
The 15-acre site will now become the club’s permanent home for many years to come having previously agreed to a rolling lease which prevented any investment in the ground and surrounding land.
Sphinx are currently top of the United Counties League Premier Division South table with one match left to play.
And the club could be crowned champions On Tuesday night (April 19) if Rugby Town fail to win away at Milton Keynes Irish.
Should Rugby win that game, Sphinx will clinch the title with a win on the last day at home to Eynesbury Rovers on Saturday, April 22 with kick-off at 3pm at Sphinx Drive.
