COVENTRY Sphinx came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Loughborough Students after staging a late fightback.
Goals from Iddriss Fuseini and Joe Blowers rescued a point for the home side at the Sphinx Industrial Supplies Arena.
That came after Frederick Webb and Halim Bangura put Loughborough in command with goals either side of half time.
The result means Coventry sit 17th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
Sphinx won a penalty after just six minutes when Bangura committed a foul in the box only for Luke Skinner to save Kyle Carey’s spot kick.
And Loughborough made the most of that reprieve to break the deadlock on 32 minutes when Webb placed a first time effort into the bottom right corner.
The visitors doubled their lead on 70 minutes as Bangura coolly sent Charlie Woods the wrong way from the penalty spot.
However, Coventry halved the deficit two minutes later when Fuseini chested down a floated corner from the right before firing a shot into the roof of the net.
And Blowers drew Sphinx level on 81 minutes with a sensational effort into the top left corner from 20-yards out.
Coventry are next in action against Lye Town on Saturday, March 29 with kick-off at 3pm at the Sports Ground.
