COVENTRY Sphinx will play in the Northern Premier League Midlands again next season after the FA released the National League System (NLS) club allocations for steps one to six.
Sphinx finished 16th in NPL Midlands table last season and finished level on points with three teams below team eventually staying up on goal difference.
Coventry won promotion to Step Four in 2022/23 and are looking forward to their second successive season at the level next term with two more teams added to the league next season.
Some five teams achieved promotion into the division as Darlaston Town, Loughborough Students, Racing Club Warwick, Wellingborough Town and Worcester City all make the step up from the tier below.
Long Eaton United drop into the NPL Midlands after suffering relegation last season while AFC Rushden and Diamonds remain in the division through a reprieve despite finishing in the bottom two last term.
And Grantham Town will also play in the NPL Midlands next season after moving laterally from another Step Four league.
The other teams Sphinx will come up against next season are: Anstey Nomads, Bedworth United, Boldmere St. Michaels, Coleshill Town, Corby Town, Hinckley LR, Lye Town, Quorn, Rugby Town, Shepshed Dynamo, Sporting Khalsa, Sutton Coldfield Town and Walsall Wood.
All leagues are subject to FA Council ratification.
