COVENTRY Sphinx played out a 2-2 draw with Wellingborough Town despite finishing the game with 10-men.

Sphinx striker Shay Willock opened the scoring from the penalty spot only for Danny Draper to level the game for the visitors before half time at the Sphinx Industrial Supplies Arena.

Wellingborough completed the turnaround four minutes after the break when Jordan Graham found the net before Kyle Carey equalised for the home side just past the hour mark.

However, Sphinx had captain Callum Woodward sent off on 71 minutes but held on to come away with a point.

The result means Sphinx sit 17th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table just one point above the relegation zone.

Coventry are next in action against Quorn on Tuesday, October 29 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Farley Way.
