COVENTRY Sphinx remain winless on the road since September following a 4-1 defeat against Boldmere St Michaels.
Sphinx have failed to win any of their last 11 away games in the league following defeat at the Boldmere Community Stadium.
The result means Coventry sit 17th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, two points above the relegation zone.
Sphinx made a disastrous start as Kyle Burne fired Boldmere into the lead with the game just five minutes old.
And Boldmere doubled their lead five minutes later when Frankie Ealing found the net.
However, Sphinx halved the deficit on 13 minutes as Devonn O’Sullivan struck to keep the visitors in the contest.
The home side restored their two-goal cushion on the stroke of half time when Connor Armstrong rifled a shot into the net from the edge of the penalty area.
And Boldmere sealed the points 10 minutes from time as Fraser Doyle’s bullet header left the Sphinx goalkeeper with no chance.
Coventry are next in action against Wellingborough Town on Tuesday, February 3 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Cameron Slater Arena.
