COVENTRY Sphinx saw their weekend fixture against Quorn abandoned due to lightning.
Sphinx were trailing 4-1 at the time of the abandonment as referee Gary Caley took the players off the field on 72 minutes at the Farley Way.
The match will be replayed at a later date with details to be confirmed in due course.
The home side took the lead on 11 minutes when Cain Noble forced home Silvio Bello’s cross from the right.
And Noble doubled his tally for the game on 23 minutes as he poked home Zak Goodson’s ball across the box.
Sphinx halved the deficit just two minutes later when Omotolani Omotola netted on his first start for the club.
However, Quorn restored their two-goal lead in first-half injury time as Courey Grantham scored from the penalty spot.
Substitute Jack York stretched Quorn’s lead on 68 minutes before the weather put pay to the fixture soon after.
Sphinx saw their midweek fixture against Anstey Nomads postponed due to the latter side’s participation in the FA Trophy.
Coventry Sphinx are next in action at home to Corby Town on Saturday, September 28 with kick-off at 3pm at the Sphinx Industrial Supplies Arena.
