DAMIAN Kelly’s late header sent Coventry Sphinx top of the table with a 1-0 win away at Wellingborough Town.
Kelly’s header proved decisive for Sphinx at the Dog and Duck Ground as Coventry stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches.
And the result means Coventry sit top of the Northern Premier League Midlands table on goals scored ahead of Belper Town.
The game’s only goal came late on as Kelly headed in Finlay Shorrock’s cross from the right at the near post from six-yards out.
Coventry are next in action against St Neots Town on Saturday, September 20 with kick-off at 3pm at the Cameron Slater Arena.
