COVENTRY Sphinx inched closer to safety following a goalless draw against relegation-threatened Lye Town.
The visitors spurned a number of chances to win the game as Sphinx stretched their unbeaten run to three matches at the Sports Ground.
And the result means Sphinx sit 17th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
Coventry are next in action against Hinckley LRFC on Saturday, April 5 with kick-off at 3pm at the Sphinx Industrial Supplies Arena.
