COVENTRY Sphinx suffered a 2-0 defeat away at National League side Tamworth to exit the Birmingham Senior Cup.
Goals in either half from Callum Cockerill-Mollet and Chris Wreh ensured Sphinx suffered a second round exit at the Lamb Ground.
Tamworth recently reached the third round of the FA Cup and will play Tottenham Hotspur in the next round of the competition.
The Lambs play three levels above Sphinx.
Coventry travel to Long Eaton United on Saturday, December 7 with kick-off at 3pm at Grange Park.
