IDDRISS Fuseini scored an injury-time winner as Coventry Sphinx claimed a dramatic 2-1 victory against Boldmere St Michaels.
Fuseini clinched the points two minutes into injury time after Finlay Shorrock cancelled out Ben George’s opener in the first half at the Boldmere Community Stadium.
The result means Sphinx sit 14th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
Boldmere broke the deadlock on 17 minutes when George placed a first time effort into the top left corner from Theo Rowe’s low cross from the left.
However, Coventry drew level six minutes later as Shorrock curled a deflected shot past Jonathan Brown from Luke Shearer’s lay-off.
And Sphinx snatched the points at the death when substitute Fuseini headed in Callum Woodward’s corner from the left at the back post from close range.
Coventry are next in action against AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday, February 1 with kick-off at 3pm at Sphinx Industrial Supplies Arena.
