COVENTRY Sphinx recorded back-to-back wins for the first time since September with a 3-1 victory against Lichfield City.
Goals from Patrick Zito, Brett Lloyd and Raymond Poku lifted Sphinx further clear of the relegation zone at the Cameron Slater Arena.
The result means Coventry sit 16th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, six points above the drop zone.
Sphinx broke the deadlock after just five minutes when a corner travelled to the back post and Zito headed the ball into the net.
However, Lichfield equalised three minutes later as Jude Taylor fired a shot past Oliver Bosworth in the Sphinx goal.
The frantic start continued as Coventry reclaimed the lead on 18 minutes when Lloyd drove a shot into the bottom left corner from the edge of the penalty area.
And Sphinx extended their lead on 61 minutes as Poku slid the ball into the net following a scramble in the penalty area.
Coventry are next in action against AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday, February 28 with kick-off at 3pm at Hayden Road.
