COVENTRY Sphinx will play in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division next season after the FA released the National League System club allocations for steps one to six.
Sphinx were promoted from the United Counties League Premier Division South as league champions last term and have been placed in the NPL Midlands Division.
And Coventry can look forward to matches against last season’s title rivals Rugby Town and recently relegated AFC Rushden and Diamonds.
Sphinx, along with Rugby, are two of six newly-promoted sides who have joined the division along with Anstey Nomads, Lye Town, Quorn and Walsall Wood.
The rest of the division is made up of Bedworth United, Boldmere St Michael’s, Cambridge City, Coleshill Town, Corby Town, Gresley Rovers, Harborough Town, Hinckley LR, Loughborough Dynamo, Shepshed Dynamo, Spalding United, Sporting Khalsa and Sutton Coldfield Town.
All leagues are subject to FA Council ratification.
