FOOTBALL - Coventry United held to draw by Bugbrooke St. Michaels at home

COVENTRY United drew 1-1 with Bugbrooke St. Michaels as the Red and Greens picked up their first home point of the season.

United took the lead through Samir Muzaffar’s goal on 55 minutes only for Dumedi Okoye to equalise on the hour mark at Butts Park Arena.

The result means Coventry sit 13th in the United Counties League Premier Division South table.

Following a goalless first half, the home side broke the deadlock early in the second period as Muzaffar collected a poor clearance before driving into the box and finding the net.

However, Bugbrooke drew level on the hour mark when Okoye found the bottom left corner from the penalty spot.

Coventry are next in action away at Histon on Saturday, August 24 with kick-off at 3pm at Bridge Road.
