COVENTRY UNITED LADIES have been drawn away at Women’s Super League leaders Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Women’s FA Cup after reaching the last eight of the competition for the first time in their history.
The Red and Greens triumphed 4-2 in a six-goal thriller against West Bromwich Albion last weekend with Alanah Mann, Natalie Johnson, Katie Wilkinson and Olivia Fergusson all on target despite Natalie Haigh’s late red card at Coles Lane.
And the match marked manager Jay Bradford’s 150th game in charge of the club with the United boss looking forward to the big occasion later this month.
Bradford said: “It will be a great day in our clubs history.
“We are at a stage in the competition where we have to be prepared to take on a big team.”
Coventry’s clash with Arsenal takes place on Sunday, March 20 at 2pm at Meadow Park although the date and kick-off time may change subject to TV selections.
