COVENTRY United have confirmed club chairman Raymond Nowack is resting at home after he collapsed following the club’s weekend fixture.
Club chairman Nowack collapsed after the final whistle of Coventry’s 5-0 win against Northampton at Butts Park Arena.
However, Coventry have provided a positive update on Nowack’s health with the United chairman now resting at home following the incident.
A club statement said: “Shortly after the match against Northampton ON Chenecks, Coventry United chairman, Raymond Nowack, suddenly collapsed.
“Thanks to the incredible work of our staff, especially our physio team led by Lucy Stead, as well as assistance from manager Terry Anderson, the Northampton physio and assistant referee Kieron Large, plus the speedy response of the ambulance crew, Ray received immediate treatment and was swiftly taken to hospital.
“He has since been released and is now resting at home.
“Coventry United wish to thank Lucy and her amazing team, as well as our staff, the matchday officials, all at Northampton ON Chenecks and the ambulance crew and doctors for their help and response to the incident.
“We wish Ray a swift and effective recovery.”
Coventry continued their play-off push on the pitch with a convincing five-nil home victory.
Both Benji Adomako and Cameron Dunn scored braces while Charlie Shaw also found the net.
