STAN Dube scored a brace as Coventry United romped to their biggest league win of the season with a 5-0 victory against Cogenhoe United.
Dube started and completed the scoring at Butts Park Arena as Charlie Morgan, Ethan Baynham and substitute Charlie Stanton all found the net.
And the result means Coventry sit 13th in the United Counties League Premier Division South table.
The Red and Greens broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when Dube steered Harry Wilson’s cross from the right into the far corner from close range at the back post.
And United doubled their lead on the hour mark as Morgan finished off a stunning one-touch move from inside the penalty area from Liam Merrick’s pass.
Coventry sealed the points five minutes later when Baynham rose highest to head home a corner at the far post.
Substitute Stanton made it four on 78 minutes when he finished Dube’s low cross from close range.
And Dube added some gloss to the scoreline at the death as he volleyed the ball into the net after John Meadows kept out Stanton’s initial effort.
Coventry are next in action at home to Godmanchester Rovers on Saturday, March 30 with kick-off at 3pm at Butts Park Arena.
