COVENTRY United reached the last 16 of the FA Vase for the first time in their history with a stunning 6-0 win against GNG Oadby Town.

A brace from Ryan Harkin and further goals from Cameron Dunn, Charlie Faulkner, Benji Adomako and Nehemia Zazi sealed a comprehensive victory for Coventry at Butts Park Arena.

The draw for the FA Vase fifth round takes place at 3.15pm on Monday, January 19 live on talkSPORT 2 with ties to take place on the weekend of Saturday, February 7.

Coventry took the lead when Faulkner squared the ball across the box to Harkin who finished into an empty net from eight-yards out.

And United doubled their advantage as Dunn received a pass 20-yards from goal and lashed a stunning effort into the bottom right corner.

Coventry added a third goal before the break as Harkin headed in his second of the game from six-yards out from Danny Fraser’s cross from the left.

United all but sealed their place in the next round of the competition after the break when Faulkner raced onto a loose ball in the box and coolly slipped a shot past the Oadby goalkeeper from close range.

The hosts made it five when substitute Benji Adomako drove into the box and lashed a shot into the roof of the net and beyond the goalkeeper at his near post from the left-hand side of the box.

And United added a sixth goal when Adomako delivered a low ball into the box from the right and substitute Zazi finished into the bottom left corner from close range.
