FOOTBALL - Jay Dasilva insists Coventry City must 'stay together' after dropping into relegation zone

JAY Dasilva insists Coventry City must ‘stay together’ following a 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers –  a result which leaves the Sky Blues in the relegation zone.

Dasilva started back-to-back league games for the first time this season against the R’s as City surrendered an early lead to draw at Loftus Road.

And after dropping into the Championship relegation zone, Dasilva insists the Sky Blues must keep a positive mindset to turn their form around.

Dasilva said: “All we can do is keep going, it’s part of the game. We have to be able to ride these setbacks and stay in that positive mindset and stay together as a group and hope that it turns around.

“It’s tough but it’s part of the game, when you don’t win games, people get frustrated in the club and outside, that’s how it works.

“The only thing we can keep doing is keep going and building on the performances and it’s annoying to keep saying that, but it’s the only thing we can do, stay in that positive mindset and keep building.

“Most of our performances have been good this season, it’s just about turning that into a result.”

Coventry are next in action against Luton Town on Saturday, October 26 with kick-off at 12.30pm at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
