COVENTRY City goalkeeper Oliver Dovin is looking forward to making his home debut for the club against Oxford United on Friday night.
Dovin joined the Sky Blues from Swedish side Hammarby in the summer and made his first start for the club on the opening day of the season in defeat at Stoke City.
And the Sweden international can not wait to play in front of the Sky Blue army when City host Oxford at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Dovin said: “I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve played two games there in the friendlies, but the first Championship game is going to be different and I’m looking forward to it.
“I’ve settled in really well, I like England, and I like the club, it’s like a family there and it’s been a good time here so far.
“You get nothing for free in this business. I was happy to be here and knowing I had to fight for my spot.
“I was happy to start the first game but it’s hard work and I have to keep improving and working hard to keep that spot.
“It won’t be easy but I’m just focusing on trying to get better every day in training and take one game at a time.”
Coventry entertain Oxford on Friday, August 16 with kick-off at 8pm at the CBS Arena.
