THE EFL have confirmed when the summer transfer window will open and close ahead of the start of the 2025/26 season.
A new-look window will see teams able to trade players for an additional 10 days in June.
This is due to the FIFA Club World Cup registration period with many clubs expected to be active in the market.
And the EFL and its clubs have agreed to take part in the additional window due to the anticipated high level of transfer activity.
The window will open from Sunday, June 1 to Tuesday, June 10 at 7pm.
However, the window will then shut again until Monday, June 16 with the transfer period unable to exceed a total of 89 days.
The window then reopens from Monday, June 16 until Monday, September 1 at 7pm.
The Club World Cup takes place between June 14 and July 13.
Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard will be keen to add to his squad following the club’s recent play-off heartbreak.
Lampard made just one signing in January – bringing in experienced midfielder Matt Grimes from Swansea City.
The club later signed experienced midfielder Jamie Paterson on a free transfer following the closure of the winter window in February.
