AN EFL supercomputer has predicted Coventry City striker Haji Wright to win the Championship golden boot ahead of teammate Brandon Thomas-Asante.

The CasinoHawks supercomputer predicts Wright to top the goalscoring charts with 29 goals with Thomas-Asante just behind on 24 strikes.

Thomas-Asante currently leads the Championship top scorers list with 10 goals with Wright third on the list with eight goals.

The calculation gives Wright a 20 per cent chance of winning the golden boot prize while Thomas-Asante has a 15 per cent chance.

Wright has a projected xG of 29.2 with Thomas-Asante just behind on 23.7.

No other player is predicted to score more than 20 goals with Norwich City’s Josh Sargent (19 goals) third on the list.

Birmingham City’s Jay Stansfield (16 goals) and Hull City’s Oli McBurnie (15) goals round out the top-five.

No other Coventry players feature in the list while the division’s current second top scorer, Carlton Morris, also does not make the top-20 scorers.

The Championship golden boot supercomputer has calculated the top players in the running to win the award, according to average market odds.

And the supercomputer used the data to project their expected goal tallies.
