COVENTRY City put on a show as two special guests watched the Sky Blues claim a 2-1 victory against Watford at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Red Bull team principal and CEO Christian Horner and his wife Geri Halliwell, a former Spice Girl, received an invite to watch the game from Sky Blues owner and chairman Doug King.

Horner, a lifelong Sky Blues supporter, and Halliwell watched on from the directors’ box after meeting head coach Frank Lampard and the players prior to kick-off.

The pair witnessed City claim a third straight league win as Victor Torp netted a brace, including a sensational free-kick, before Liam Kitching put through his own net late on.

Horner’s Red Bull team have won six constructors’ championships during his time at the helm.

And another Formula 1 boss, Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu, is also a Sky Blues fan and visited the CBS Arena in October to watch City beat Blackburn Rovers.
