FRANK Lampard has confirmed Tatsuhiro Sakamoto will miss Coventry City’s game against Blackburn Rovers with a rib injury.
Sakamoto sat out Coventry’s draw against Sheffield Wednesday owing to the injury he picked up against Hull City on Easter Monday.
And Lampard admits he does not yet know if Sakamoto will recover from the injury in time to play again this season.
Lampard said: “He won’t be fit for this game.
“He’s doing okay but it’s a sore injury in his ribs.
“We’re going to have to see [if he’s back before the end of the season].”
Coventry travel to Blackburn tonight, knowing a point would secure promotion to the Premier League for the Sky Blues.
