JOEL Latibeaudiere insists Coventry City must attack their final two games of the season in their quest to secure a Championship play-off spot.
Latibeaudiere has started City’s last three matches in the absence of Bobby Thomas, his longest run of starts in the side since February.
And the defender feels the Sky Blues have the belief to finish in the top-six this season with two matches left to play.
Latibeaudiere said: “We were speaking about it before, saying how well we’ve done to get where we are and believing in that and taking that confidence into these last two games and having the belief we can go and do this.
“If you look at the start of the season we had, if you offered us this position, we would have snatched your hand off for it.
“To get to where we’ve got is massive credit to the squad and everyone involved, and we just have to remind ourselves of that and attack these last two games now.
“There will always be tension in big games, but you just have to manage that and make sure we are the team that we know we are and move forward.”
Coventry sit sixth in the table, three points clear of the chasing pack in the race for a play-off place.
And Latibeaudiere believes the club’s determination to seal a play-off spot has created a strong togetherness at the club.
Latibeaudiere added: “As players, you want to be fighting for the top spots and it’s far more enjoyable and it gives you something to really look forward to and excited that you can achieve something as a group.
“This is my first year of being in the play-offs and trying to stay in there because my first season at Swansea we got in there quite comfortably.
“Last year we just missed out, so it’s exciting to be involved in and I’m really enjoying it.
“To live this as a new group, staff included, it’s great we’re living it together and we really believe we can achieve something and we’re looking forward to these last two games.
“The fact that it’s in our hands gives me massive belief that we will go and get this job done.”
Coventry travel to Luton on Saturday, April 26 with kick-off at 12.30pm at Kenilworth Road.
