THE SEARCH for Coventry City’s next manager continues with former Chelsea and England great Frank Lampard emerging as the odds-on favourite.
Lampard (4/11 with Sky Bet) spent last season out of the dugout after ending the 2022/23 campaign as caretaker manager of Chelsea.
He previously guided Derby County to the Championship play-off final in his first season as a manager in the 2018/19 campaign.
Former Coventry striker Robbie Keane (4/1) is also a front-runner for the job.
Keane spent almost a year in charge of Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv from June 2023 to June 2024 where he won the Israeli Premier League and the Israel Toto Cup (League Cup equivalent).
He also took the club into the last 16 of the UEFA Europa Conference League where they lost to eventual winners Olympiacos before departing at the end of the season.
Outsiders include Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield (10/1), interim England boss Lee Carsley (14/1) and former Stoke City and Plymouth Argyle manager Steven Schumacher (16/1).
Coventry placed Rhys Carr in charge of the club on an interim basis following the sacking of Mark Robins.
