MARK Robins felt his side showed what they are capable of after claiming a much-needed 3-0 win against Blackburn Rovers.
Strikes from Jake Bidwell, Haji Wright and Brandon Thomas-Asante at the Coventry Building Society Arena brought an end to City’s five-game winless run in the league.
Robins praised the quality of his side’s performance and felt the Sky Blues recovered from a mental setback following difficult defeats against Swansea City and Leeds United.
Robins said: “We were looking for a performance and it was a big performance, we played really well but I think we’ve played well in a number of games this season.
“It’s still really early days, we had a really poor week after the Spurs game. The Swansea and Leeds game gave us a mental setback, for whatever reason.
“They showed what they can do and are capable of playing some really good football and creating a lot of chances.
“The support was with them from minute one and [the fans] were right behind them and that makes a big difference and that makes an impact.”
Coventry are next in action against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, October 5 with kick-off at 3pm at the CBS Arena.
