FOOTBALL - Mark Robins provides injury update on key Coventry City duo Sheaf and Wright

MARK Robins hopes key duo Ben Sheaf and Haji Wright will return to full fitness soon after the pair both picked up injuries in pre-season.

Sheaf took a knock when attempting a pass against Stevenage while Wright managed just a few minutes against Getafe.

Robins admits he does not yet know the extent of Sheaf’s injury but expects Wright to return quickly from a swollen ankle.

Robins said: “He took his time on a pass, and he got caught. He was trying to play the ball with the outside of his foot, and he just got some pressure applied by the studs of one of their players and he may have turned his ankle.

“We don’t know the extent of it yet, but he was clearly too uncomfortable to carry on.

“Haji will be however long he’s going to be. It was an impact injury and he turned his ankle and he has some swelling there but he isn’t in any significant pain so I’m hoping he can get back quickly.”
