MILAN van Ewijk hopes Coventry City can recreate the feeling from their previous M69 derby win against rivals Leicester City this weekend.
The full-back scored in a 3-1 success for the Sky Blues against the Foxes in January 2024.
That game marked the first meeting between the clubs at the Coventry Building Society Arena for more than 12 years.
And van Ewijk hopes the Sky Blues can recreate the feeling from that victory when they entertain the Foxes this weekend.
van Ewijk said: “I don’t really have the feeling that it is the same derby as two seasons ago.
“Maybe because when we played them earlier in the season, it didn’t have the same hostile feeling.
“But maybe it will be hostile [this time] because there’s a lot of new players who haven’t experienced a proper derby at home.
“I hope everybody can feel the experience. It’s an insane game to play in and hopefully we can recreate the feeling from two seasons ago.”
Coventry host Leicester on Saturday, January 17 with kick-off at 12.30pm at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
