THE EFL has confirmed that a minute’s silence will be held and black armbands will be worn at all matches this weekend in memory of the victims from the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
This includes Coventry City’s weekend clash against Luton Town with the minute’s silence to take place prior to kick-off.
More than 22,000 people are known to have died since the 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck southern Turkey and northern Syria on Monday (February 6) earlier this week.
And hundreds of thousands of people have been left without shelter, water, fuel and electricity amidst freezing conditions.
