FOOTBALL - Red and Greens twice come from behind to book FA Cup fourth round clash with Hashtag United

Coventry Editorial 14th Dec, 2022   0

COVENTRY United Women will play Hashtag United Women in the fourth round of the FA Cup after the Red and Greens survived a scare to beat Stockport County.

Coventry twice fell behind to goals from Kenzie Bentley only for Simran Jhamat and Mary McAteer to bring the home side level on two separate occasions.

And Coventry finally saw off the Division One North side thanks to second-half goals from Ebony Wiseman and McAteer.

Lee Burch’s side will play Hashtag in the fourth round at Butts Park Arena on Sunday, January 29.

Hashtag only started playing under their current name in 2020 and are unbeaten in the FA Women’s National League Division One South East this season with seven wins from eight matches to top the table.
