COVENTRY City have confirmed new contracts for three defenders with Milan van Ewijk, Liam Kitching and Jay Dasilva all agreeing fresh terms.

All three players had one year remaining on their previous deals with Frank Lampard keen to tie down the trio to longer contracts.

However, Coventry have not disclosed the length of the new contracts.

Van Ewijk said: “I’m very happy to sign a new contract.

“It feels like a reward, so I’m delighted and I’m excited for the rest of the season.

“Hopefully, we can make the dream come true.”

Dasilva added: “I’m buzzing to sign a new deal here.

“My main focus is helping us achieve what we want to achieve and get the job done.

“I’m really enjoying my time here so I’m over the moon to get it signed.”

Kitching said: “I’m delighted to get the deal done.

“It’s a brilliant squad to be a part of, the gaffer is great to work with and I’m enjoying my time here.

“I want to thank the fans for all their support and hopefully we can get the job done this season.”

Full-back van Ewijk has scored four goals in 131 appearances for the Sky Blues since his arrival in the summer of 2023.

The Dutch right-back has provided six assists in 30 appearances for Coventry this campaign.

Centre-back Kitching is closing in on 100 appearances for the Sky Blues.

The defender has scored two goals in 29 games for Coventry this season.

And left-back Dasilva recently reached a century of games for City and has appeared 29 times for Coventry this season.
