Gael Bigirimana extends Sky Blues loan spell

MIDFIELDER Gael Bigirimana has extended his stay with the Sky Blues until January 24 after impressing on a short term loan move from Newcastle.

The 22-year-old has made five appearances on his return to the Ricoh Arena, including three starts, and has played an important part in keeping the Sky Blues’ promotion campaign on track.

He will be available for the matches against Walsall, Burton Albion and the trip to Southend United.

Bigirimana progressed through the Sky Blues academy and went on to make his professional debut for the club back in August 2011 against rivals Leicester City.




His performances in the Championship caught the eye of Newcastle and he moved to the Premier League club the following summer.

Bigirimana spent time on loan with Scottish side Rangers and will continue to wear the No.19 shirt until his loan extension expires.
