GOALKEEPER Ryan Allsop has played his last match for the Sky Blues after returning to his parent club Bournemouth following a six-month loan deal.
The 22-year-old joined the Sky Blues in the summer as part of the Callum Wilson deal and quickly established himself as Steven Pressley’s number one.
The former West Bromwich Albion youth player made 27 appearances and recorded nine clean sheets during his spell at the Ricoh Arena.
But Allsop’s deal has not been extended and he has returned to Bournemouth this week where he is hoping to earn a new contract with the Championship leaders.
It leaves manager Steven Pressley with just two academy options to replace Allsop.
Lee Burge has already made a handful of games this season but has not played since being sent of during the 2-1 FA Cup defeat at home to Worcester City back in November.
And youngster Reice Charles-Cook is Pressley’s only other option although the Scot will be looking to bring in a more experienced goalkeeper on either a short term deal or on loan.
