JOSH Gardner finished tied second in the boys category at the County Champion of Champions event at Woodhall Spa.
Gardner, from Coventry, finished on one under par (-1) just one shot behind winner Harry Cox who also won the men’s event.
The Coventry golfer tied second with Drew Rolf (-1) after 36 holes on the Hotchkin Course in a 27-strong field.
Gardner and Cox were the only two golfers to go under par through the first round.
