THE WARWICKSHIRE Golf and Country Club’s annual presentation evening celebrated the club’s ladies golfing achievements over the past year.
The club’s outgoing captain Caroline Rhodes gave out trophies and special awards before handing over the reins to new captain Debbie Spencer.
Rhodes thanked the club’s volunteers who kept the ladies section running and awarded prize money and trophies to more than 80 players.
Outgoing captain Rhodes selected Sported as her charity of choice and raised just over £16,000 during her reign as captain.
Several of the Warwickshire’s new players have benefitted from the mentoring scheme at the club, supported by established players who have been members for over 25 years.
New captain Spencer outlined her plans for the year and chose Parkinson’s UK as her charity with the ladies section gearing up for another busy year on the golf course.
