JESSICA Gadirova clinched gold in a dramatic women’s all-around final at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antalya, Turkey.
The Coventry-based teenager claimed a second gold medal at the Championships after she helped Great Britain win a first ever team gold earlier in the week.
Gadirova scored 14.100 on the vault and also shone on the floor and beam with scores of 13.933 and 13.533 respectively.
And a solid uneven bars score of 13.466 helped her achieve an overall total of 55.032 as she pipped Hungary’s Zsófia Kovács (54.899) and Italy’s Alice D’Amato (54.500) to gold.
The gold is Britain’s fourth medal of the Championships after Britain’s men won team bronze and Jake Jarman secured silver in the men’s all-around final.
