KIM Tallberg will remain at Coventry Blaze for the 2023/24 Elite League campaign following a fine first season with the club.
The Swedish forward led Blaze’s goalscoring charts with 31 goals in Elite League competitions and added 28 assists for a return of 59 points in 66 games.
And Tallberg scooped the club’s Coach’s, Players’ and Supporters’ Player of the Year awards at the end of the season in recognition of the Swede’s excellent 2022/23 campaign.
Head coach Danny Stewart said: “Kim is a huge piece from last year that we wanted to get back, and he will be even bigger for us this season.
“On the ice, off the ice, he is a top professional. He brings energy to our room every day and makes those around him better.
“He will be a big part of our offense again, but also a guy that plays in hard areas and is tough to play against. We are thrilled to have him back and I know our fans will be as well.”
Tallberg has been productive throughout his career having registered 48 goals and 45 assists for 93 points in 272 Swedish Allsvenskan regular season and playoff games prior to his move to Coventry.
He also played 272 games in HockeyEttan during which he amassed 84 goals and 84 assists for 168 points with Nynäshamns, Kumla, Borås, Halmstad and Nybro.
