COVENTRY Blaze have re-signed Canadian forward Grayson Constable for the 2025/26 Elite League season.
The 27-year-old made his professional debut with the Blaze last season where he tallied 22 points (six goals and 16 assists) in 60 Elite League games.
Constable capped his rookie campaign with Coventry by winning head coach Kevin Moore’s player of the season award.
Constable said: “Blaze fans, I am extremely excited to come back next season.
“This past year was such an incredible experience, and I am excited for myself and the team to take the next step in our upcoming season.
“I wanted to thank the fans for all the support they have shown this past season, and I hope you guys keep bringing the heat next year.”
Moore added: “Grayson is a hard-nosed, detailed player who’s 200-foot game fits perfectly with our identity.
“Grayson’s maturity shone through in his first year with our club and I look forward to him taking another step this season as a player and leader.”
Before turning pro, the 6ft 2in right-shot forward spent five seasons in the NCAA, representing College of the Holy Cross and Long Island University.
Across 156 collegiate appearances, he posted 44 points (23 goals, 21 assists) and blocked 104 shots.
In his senior year at Holy Cross, Constable wore the captain’s armband and left the programme ranked eighth all-time in shorthanded goals.
He also excelled academically, earning a spot on the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team in both 2020 and 2023.
Before his college career, the Lethbridge, Alberta native made his mark in the AJHL with the Bonnyville Pontiacs.
He captained the team during the 2018/19 season and recorded an impressive 54 points (24 goals, 30 assists) in 52 games.
