FOOTBALL: FORWARD Marc McNulty is confident the goals will continue coming for the Sky Blues as they prepare to face Mansfield tomorrow.
The Sky Blues have registered seven goals in the last three games – picking up three wins on the spin in the process.
After manager Mark Robins spoke highly of the mood in the dressing room, McNulty revealed City expect a tough challenge at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow against Mansfield.
He said: “The boys are fresh and we’re looking forward.
“We’re high on confidence but this weekend will be another tough game.
“Mansfield are an organised team, they will be in our faces.
“We’ve got to play our game and worry about ourselves. I think teams adapt when they come to the Ricoh, they setup defensively and we have found it hard – especially in the final third.”
Having a solid back four has granted City’s forwards plenty of confidence though.
But McNulty admitted the work at the back starts up front.
“If you haven’t got the ball the manager wants you behind it,” said McNulty.
“It’s always on your mind that if we nick a goal we can win the game because our defence has been so solid.
“It’s been a bit frustrating for me, I haven’t scored as many goals as I’d like. But I have confidence in myself.”
