CHELSIE Giles continued her fabulous season to win silver at the Antalya Grand Slam in Turkey having won gold at the Tel Aviv Grand Slam and Portugal Grand Prix earlier this year.
The world number one the easily progressed through her opening three contests to win her pool and advance to the semi-finals.
Giles received an opening round bye and then defeated Spain’s Ariane Toro Soler, Azerbaijan’s Gultaj Mammadaliyeva with a trademark newaza and Cyprus’s Sofia Asvesta.
And the Coventry Judo Club star was relentless in her semi-final clash with Uzbekistan’s Sita Kadamboeva as she launched attack after attack.
She took Kadamboeva to the ground early on before her opponent was disqualified for a head dive which saw Giles progress to the final against France’s Olympic silver medallist Amandine Buchard
The final proved a tense affair, in what was the sixth encounter between the pair, as Buchard registered a waza-ari score moments before the buzzer sounded to clinch gold with Giles forced to settle for silver in what was her fifth successive final appearance.
