FULL-TIME It’s finished Coventry City 1-0 Walsall. The Sky Blues end their home campaign with a much deserved win thanks to George Thomas’ first half strike!

84 – Double change for the Sky Blues. Jordan Shipley comes on in place of Gadzhev and Kelly-Evans is introduced in place of Foley.

79 – Thomas finds himself through on goal. The Walsall defence catch up, Thomas holds the ball up and makes space for a shot but his volley on his weaker foot sails high over the bar. 1-0

75 – Substitute for the Sky Blues. The injured Stokes is replaced by Rawson. 1-0

72 – Stokes looks to be in a lot of discomfort in front of us here as he smashed into the advertising board at some pace. 1-0

69 – RED CARD! O’Connell is sent off for a second yellow card after diving in on Thomas.

68 – Substitute for Walsall sees Candlin come on for Morris.

66 – The Sky Blues come close to scoring a second. Tudgay and Thomas link up well inside the area before the latter fires a half volley over the bar when he perhaps should have hit the target. 1-0

60 – Half a chance for the Sky Blues sees Tudgay flash a volley from the edge of the area narrowly wide. 1-0

58 – Bakayoko has two chances for the visitors. His first shot is blocked and his second acrobatic effort is straight at Charles-Cook. 1-0

57 – O’Connell thought he had pulled the visitors level with a free header at the far post which looked destined for the top left-hand corner of the net but Bigirimana heads the ball off the line. 1-0

54 – O’Connell is yellow carded for seemingly taking a free kick too quickly.

53 – Claims for a handball inside the area as Bakayoko sees his effort blocked before the ball is eventually cleared. 1-0

48 – An early attempt on goal for the Sky Blues sees George Thomas hit a low left-footed shot towards goal but it’s a comfortable take for MacGillivray. 1-0

We’re back underway for the second half! There’s been a double change at the break for the visitors. Dobson comes on for Osbourne and oztumer replaces Makris.

The Sky Blues have edged what has been in truth a rather dull opening 45 minutes. George Thomas’ 39th minute strike separates the two sides here at the Ricoh Arena.

41 – The Sky Blues almost go two goals in front! Thomas finds himself with a free shot on goal MacGillivray makes himself big and the City striker directs his shot off target. 1-0

39 – GOAL!!!! The Sky Blues take the lead. Lameiras receives the ball from the corner and does well to set up Thomas who fires a low first-time shot into the box of the net. 1-0

39 – Thomas makes his way into the area and shoots but his shot is deflected over for a City corner. 0-0

34 – Bakayoko shoots from the edge of the area but his low shot is comfortably saved by Charles-Cook. 0-0

33 – The Sky Blues go straight up the other end and Bigirimana plays a neat ball through to Thomas but Walsall keeper MacGillivray is quick off his line to gather the ball. 0-0

32 – Walsall come close to taking the lead. Edwards delivers a dangerous free kick from the left wich is met by the head of Preton but he glances his header wide of the target when he perhaps should have done better. 0-0

There’s a break in play here as captain Willis gets some treatment for a head injury. Really not much to report on here at all so far. It really has got an end of season feel to this game so far. Both sets of fans very quiet too.

17 – Walsall have their first attempt on goal. O’Connell curls a right-footed shot from just inside the area towards the top corner but Charles-Cook read it well and made the save. 0-0

12 – The Sky Blues have the first shot on goal. A neat move down the right involving Foley and Thomas ends with Lameiras shooting. His shot is blocked and falls kindly to Foley who hits a powerful effort straight into the arms of MacGillivray in the Walsall goal. 0-0

7 – Osbourne crosses from the left and Charles-Cook drops the ball but the City defence eventually clear their lines. 0-0

Not much to report on in the opening five minutes. Both teams still sizing each other out.

The away fans are in good vice this afternoon. A fair few have made the short journey down the M6.

So there are six changes for the Sky Blues today. Charles-Cook is given the nod ahead of Burge, Lameiras, Jones and Gadzhev are all preferred in midfield, Tudgay replaces K.Thomas and Foley also returns to the side.
