COVENTRY fighter James ‘The Lionheart’ Dixon has signed for Europe’s biggest MMA promotion – OKTAGON MMA.

Dixon (4-2) who is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and coach at Coventry’s Lions Gym, will face Czech fighter Max Handanagic (9-6-1) on April 20 at Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena.

The 29-year-old has won his last two fights inside the octagon, both of which took place in 2022, and is looking forward to returning to the ring on the OKTAGON 56 card in Birmingham.

Dixon said: “OKTAGON MMA is one of the biggest and best promotions in the world, and I’m so happy to be able to put my beautiful city of Coventry on the map.”

Dixon became Fight UK’s MMA featherweight champion early in his career as well as winning multiple regional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu titles across the UK.
