COVENTRY’S Tom Ingram took part in this year’s Silverstone Festival competing for Alan Mann Racing.
Current British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) leader Ingram competed in the Transatlantic Touring Car Trophy (Pre ’66) event.
Ingram took to the track in an Alan Mann Racing-built Ford Mustang.
And he secured a fifth place finish following a thrilling late battle for the lead as Matt Johnson claimed the race win.
Alan Mann Racing originally constructed five of the top-eight finishing cars.
And Boreham Motorworks and Alan Mann Racing also celebrated a landmark moment at the festival.
Just four months after its reveal, the Ford Escort Alan Mann 68 Edition took to the track for its very first competitive outing.
The car raced in the Adrian Flux Trophy for MRL Historic Touring Car Challenge event and finished 25th out of 42 starters.
Henry Mann shared driving duties with Steve Soper as the duo completed the full race distance to the chequered flag.
