COVENTRY’S Charlotte Moore helped Great Britain’s women reach the quarter-finals of the wheelchair basketball event at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Moore featured in GB’s narrow 59-52 defeat against the United States of America as Britain suffered a quarter-final exit at the Bercy Arena.

Britain and USA were level at the end of first quarter before the latter side took control of the game after winning the second quarter 19-12.

Moore and GB rallied to take the third quarter 17-13 only for USA to win the final quarter 15-11 to end Britain’s medal hopes.

GB beat Spain in their opening group match before losing to Canada and China.

Britain play Japan at 9.30am this morning (Thursday, September 5) in a classification match to determine the positions of competing countries from fifth to eighth.
