FOOTBALL: TALENTED winger Jodi Jones has been sidelined for the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL at Stevenage on Tuesday night.
The winger was involved in a clash midway through the second half at the Lamex Stadium and, following scans, it shows the 20-year-old has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his knee.
Jones will go under the knife in the coming weeks and then begin the rehabilitation process to recover from the setback in his career.
Manager Mark Robins said: “It’s a blow for him as a young player as he has is a talented boy who is becoming a growing influence and someone who is great to work with.
“It’s going to be difficult for him to come to terms with the injury and the surgery which will follow and then how long he will be out and the rehabilitation that comes with it.
“But, he will come back stronger with the help of the medical team and the support of everyone at the club.”
